CHAITHANYA
MISSION & HISTORY.
CHAITHANYA was initiated by Saravana Kumar Seshadri, along with eight other like-minded intellectuals, with the aim of creating a “Just Human Society.” Chaithanya’s philosophy is to strive for the establishment of a casteless and creedless society through peaceful means, acting as an emissary to bring socio-economic development through creativity and by promoting modern, scientific, and technological methods without compromising traditional ethical values.
Taking his commitment forward, Saravana Kumar Seshadri, along with his wife and the current CEO of Chaithanya, Nirmala Vadlamudi, relocated to Badikayalapalli, a remote village on the Andhra-Karnataka border. Guided by Gandhian principles of grassroots development and participatory democracy, they focused on addressing various social issues, including untouchability; by permanently immersing themselves in the community. From this small village, Chaithanya's recognition grew among key stakeholders, leading to financial and aid support that facilitated the expansion of their operations. This growth ultimately resulted in the establishment of their main branch in B. Kothakota, Andhra Pradesh.

We take great pride in our extensive experience, having cumulatively worked across 12 distinct domain areas: natural resource management, education, agriculture, local self-governance, nutrition, women empowerment, sustainable energy, marketing, child rights, rural housing, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and entrepreneurship. We are incredibly proud of these collaborations, which have played a key role in advancing our mission and vision for building a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future.
